Tea with the Lord Mayor of York
The TOC were approached by Ian Reed, Director of the Yorkshire Air Museum, to assist in the transportation of a group representing the families and relatives of French Veterans who flew from Elvington during WW2.
The group were invited for tea with the Lord Mayor of York, at the "Mansion House", which was the first formal residence for a Lord Mayor of a City in England, with construction starting in 1638.
