February 2007 was a well attended meeting with some 14
members overflowing from the round table. with a new member attending.
March 2007 meeting was on Mothers day, thank goodness we
have our TOC round table reserved for us. there was much discussion on
the Gibraltar rally with James Yeats the social secretary answering
questions on the trip, Alec Bilney (Admiral Bilney) with his plans for
drive it day, and then of course the Annual Rally. Our youngest member
Maria (6 months) Daughter of Katerina and Yarik was introduced to our
meeting.

10 members attended our
first meeting of the year. Which proved to be an important meeting, as we had
made provisional bookings for the national rally to be held in our area this
year, and needed to be discussed. All heads down as Carol Bilney studies the
suggested weekend for 3-5th August 2007. We ended the meeting outside literally
chilling out. |

Our 2006 Christmas Lunch in the
Malting house at the Barley Mow was well attended with so far a record number of
47 members and friends attending. Our newly elected President Bernie Shaw and
his wife Pearl travelled down from Northamptonshire to join us. It was apt
that they won a filled picnic basket in our annual raffle, this year the fluffy
dog went home with Carol and Alec, and as seen, has taken over the driving seat
of Alec’s 6. We were pleased to welcome new members to their first Christmas
lunch, and once again we thank Barry, Gloria Annalls and family for bringing
founder member Fred from Lincolnshire to swell our numbers, Tony and Maria
Hodgekiss also came up from Sussex.

16th April 2006 - I had not realised when I planned the trip to Tony Olivers Museum nr. Eaton
that it would be Easter Sunday.
We had a good number of cars and even more members joined us at the
museum totalling 19 persons, it was an extremely interesting museum to be
highly recommended.

19th February 2006 - Fortunately the weather was not as bad
as had been forecast, and therefore those hardy members of our section who had
decided to join the guided walk with Esher Common ranger, from horseshoe clump
car park were able to do so under overcast skies but dry conditions .
Having enjoyed a very pleasant walk with interesting information from our
friendly ranger, we then retired to our cars, set aside our environmental hats,
and polluted like hell the next mile to our monthly meeting at The Fairmile,
Cobham, Surrey, were we have been allocated a non smoking quiet room by the
management.
It was very interesting to meet in addition to our usual stalwarts, Ray
Barnett, his wife Ann and daughter Natalie, who had driven up from Beaulieu, in
their elegant light fifteen. A sporting effort indeed! After much conversation
we set off home in the expected pouring rain and sleet. Roll on Springtime!

February 15 2004 at the Fairmile Arms. A good meeting with a large number of members attending including a new member - John
|
New Years Day 2004 at the Barley Mow. The Vintage Sports Car club meeting was rather more well attended than our normal
meetings, but it would have been good to have some Tractions on display. We would have needed to be there early though as
latecomers had to park in the road.

December 2003 - Christmas at the Barley Mow. A break in the weather gave us a dry and sunny day with over 40 people sitting
down to the Christmas lunch.

February 2003 - the Barley Mow. A cold but sunny meeting marked a quiet meeting with just three cars on show

|
January 2003 - the Barley Mow. Overnight rain must have made some people think twice about todays meeting, but true to form
the sky cleared and the sun came out. After a splendid meal, there was a noticable split - one table for
the men discussing all things mechanical whilst on the other table the ladies enjoyed more refined conversation (or a good
gossip if you prefer). This meeting marked a full year for the section's Sunday meetings, and it is a lesson perhaps to other sections as many of
the section members would not otherwise have got together so often, or perhaps not at all. Some more events planning was done today so we hope to publish a fuller diary here soon.

December 2002 - Christmas at the Barley Mow. The Christmas meeting was well attended with over 40 people and considering
the rain, a surprising number of Tractions
|
November 2002 - the Barley Mow. Another pleasant meeting
|
|
October 2002 - the Barley Mow. A wet meeting but very well attended considering the rain with eight tractions, and a few
new people as well. After lunch in the crowded pub, we drove down to the Denbie vinyard near Box Hill. The drive was very
pleasant despite the light rain as the trees are starting to change colour. Once at the vinyard, most chose to take the
train tour around the fields, after which the restaurent was a welcome place to warm up with tea and cake
|
February 2002 - the Barley Mow. There were thirteen vehicles present, fifteen club members and over thirty people in all
including families and friends, making it a very sucessful meeting.
